Guest Lecture about AI at the University for Applied Science in Salzburg
Last week, I had the pleasure of giving a guest lecture on artificial intelligence at the University for Applied Science in Salzburg. The session focused on how AI is shaping - and disrupting - the modern work environment.
We explored the idea that AI is not just a futuristic concept, but a highly capable tool already transforming workflows across industries. To bring this point to life, I asked the students to come up with a theme for a live AI demo. Their input led us to a fun and fast-paced challenge: creating all the essentials for a fictional company launch using AI tools - in under 20 minutes.
In that short time, we produced:
- A landing page website
- A catchy music jingle
- A professional phone audio greeting
- A quick 5-slide PowerPoint presentation
- An offer template
- A promotional poster
- A short-video
Sure, all of those were quick prototypes but the exercise wasn’t just about speed - it was about demonstrating how AI can act as a powerful, creative, and highly efficient co-worker. My message to the students was simple: AI won’t replace you, but someone using AI might. It’s time to embrace it, learn it, and start leveraging it today.
